Thursday, June 25th, 2020 (North Bay, Ontario) Effective July 6th, Ontario Northland welcomes Drew Duquette as its Vice President of Transportation. Drew has worked in a number of senior roles including most recently at Canadian Pacific Railway as Superintendent of Southwestern Ontario. Duquette will be replacing Grant Bailey who is retiring in July.
“Drew is a strategic leader with exceptional railway experience,” says Corina Moore, President and CEO of Ontario Northland. “I am confident that his strong skillset will continue to improve and expand our rail transportation services.”
Drew has held a variety of positions throughout his 35 year career in rail, some of which were Rail Traffic Controller, Train Master, and management roles responsible for preventative maintenance and major infrastructure projects.

I look forward to bringing my experience to this team of railroaders,” says Drew Duquette, incoming Vice President of Transportation. “I was born and raised in the North, so it feels good to return and contribute to a region that has always been important to me.”
In his role, Drew will be responsible for strategic leadership that will shape company policy and culture, further our legacy and astutely oversee operating and capital budgets for rail freight, mechanical, infrastructure and passenger and freight car remanufacturing.
Ontario Northland’s transportation services are vital to Northern Ontario’s economy. It is an agency of the Government of Ontario mandated to connect people and businesses through rail freight, rail passenger and motor coach and also provides repair and remanufacturing services for North America’s railroads.
