POSITION:                 CVOR Compliance Coordinator

REPORTS TO:             Fleet Manager

The CVOR Compliance Coordinator will ensure that ONTC operates commercial motor vehicles efficiently and safely by understanding and complying with CVOR provincial and federal legislative requirements.


  • Review CVOR abstract on a quarterly basis and verify data accuracy
  • Confirm CVOR events have been properly recorded within ONTC record system
  • Report and update fleet size changes and kilometers travelled to MTO
  • Assist Procurement with new vehicle assets to identify vehicle classification
  • Complete monthly mileage and fuel reports
  • Ensure CVOR vehicle asset list is accurate and up to date
  • Licensing and registration of CVOR vehicles
  • Complete reports on collision events and supporting documentation
  • Reviews of ELD (Electronic Logging Device) systems to ensure compliance with hours of service
  • Submit non-compliance notices to Supervisors and identify habitual non-compliance offenders
  • Review vehicle maintenance files to ensure documentation is complete
  • Review driver qualification files to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Request & review quarterly license status checks & advise supervisors of any changes
  • Prepare and submit quarterly IFTA reports to the Minister of Finance
  • Prepare and participate in facility audits as described in the CVOS
  • Perform safety observations
  • Participate in the review and development of safety programs, re-education, and refresher recommendations
  • Monitors and notifies drivers of medical due dates
  • Participate on the H&S Committee


  • Secondary School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED)
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Fleet Management or similar experience
  • Mechanical background would be considered an asset
  • Industry knowledge of legislative & regulated requirements
  • Experience with driver logbooks, E-Log System and pre-trip inspection reports
  • Experience with CVOR and IFTA regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with colleagues in the field,                         operations and corporate
  • Analytical skills to interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, AS400, Infor, ARI)
  • Committed to company health and safety
