(North Bay) Members of Teamsters Canada Rail Conference Division 910 have voted to ratify the tentative five-year agreement with the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC). The 54 employees working as Motor Coach Operators, Operator Labourers and Dispatchers voted in favour of the agreement.
“This is an important step towards building a strong future for Ontario Northland,” says President and CEO Corina Moore. “We are proud to have reached agreements with all of our labour groups and look forward to building a bright future together.”
"Our membership provies a professional level of service," says Greg Baker, respresentative of the local Teamsters Canada Rail Conference Division. "This new agreement will contribute to the continued success of bus service for people across the north."
Ontario Northland has reached five-year agreements with all five of its unions in the past year. This is an important milestone as the 115-year-old organization continues to move forward and transform into a sustainable and valued transportation leader.
